Hospital sitting services are used for children in DFPS Conservatorship that are hospitalized because of illness or injury. The hospital sitting services may also be provided at a rehabilitative or nursing home facility. The Hospital Sitter stays with a child and provides appropriate supervision and basic childcare when the child is hospitalized and neither a DFPS staff person nor a Foster Parent is available to stay with the child.
